Our story

Lexicon NY is a Film, TV and Theatre development company headquartered in New York City that focuses on the screenwriter and the power of the script. Founded by Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winning screenwriter, and producer Alexander Dinelaris, Lexicon’s “Script First” approach champions skilled narrative storytelling across all genres and content platforms.

Lexicon NY is currently working with eleven writers, developing ten projects across Film, TV and Stage.

Alexander Dinelaris — Founder and President

Alex is an Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winning screenwriter for Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), a co-producer on the three time Academy Award® winning film The Revenant, and the book writer for the Broadway musical On Your Feet! The story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, and the West End musical of The Bodyguard. He is the writer and producer of the upcoming feature film of Jekyll & Hyde, The Musical. Alex is a New York native, born in Washington Heights.

ROb Quadrino - Chief operating officer

As a co-founder of Lexicon NY with over 25 years of experience in operations, Rob’s focus is on the development and execution of the company’s slate of projects. Rob is a New York native, born in Brooklyn.

Nyla Mabro - Chief Marketing Officer

Nyla has worked in advertising and marketing for over twenty years. She cut her teeth in the London ad industry, before moving to New York to become Head of Strategy for Faith Popcorn’s Brain Reserve, the world’s leading futurist consultancy. Her expertise is in decoding emerging shifts in culture, identifying trend-correct business opportunities and creating a strategic roadmap to the future. Nyla was born in Oxford, England but after 17 years officially considers herself a New Yorker.
